Piaget supports the development of new talents by sponsoring several watchmaking, jewellery and design schools (such as Ecoles de la Rue du Louvre, HEAD, Creative Academy, Ecoles des Arts Appliqués, CIFOM…).

Following a long-standing partnership over the last 10 years, Piaget is proud to sponsor the first 3 graduating classes the Bachelor of Design Bijou of BJOP Schools (classes 2016, 2017 and 2018). The BJOP Schools, also known under the name of Schools Rue du Louvre prepare students for careers in the jewellery sector.

Prix Romand Piaget

The Prix Romand Piaget for Best Jeweler and Best Designer is a yearly competition between Jewellery schools in French Switzerland: le Centre de Formation Arts Appliqués de Genève (CFPAA), l'Ecole d'Arts Appliqués de la Chaux-de-Fonds (EAA), l’Ecole Technique de la Vallée de Joux (ETVJ) and l’Association Romande des Métiers de la Bijouterie (ASMEBI).

This competition is part of the compulsory work in the student 4th year. The best jeweller will be awarded an intership in the Piaget workshops.

Piaget supports HEAD through the Young Talents Prize

Piaget partners with HEAD with the Piaget – HEAD Young Talents Prize. This prize awards the creativity of Design Jewellery, Watches and Accessories Bachelor and Master programs students in the context of two design workshops linked to Piaget DNA.
For the 2015 edition, there were a watch workshop and a workshop in Scenography design.
The two winners Seila Alvarez with the project "Magnificent curves" at the workshop watches and Sandra Garsaud at the Visual Merchandising workshop with "Extra-moon" received their Award on November 25,2015 at the Flux Laboratory.

For several years, the Côte-aux-Fées Piaget manufacturing site has been collaborating with the Interregional Training Centre of the Neuchâtel Area Mountains (CIFOM), a school for future watchmakers. The manufacturing plant also welcomes students for an encounter with the Piaget watchmakers and a tour of the workshops.

Institute of Swiss Watchmaking (IOSW)

The ever-increasing demand for luxury watches translates into a growing demand for qualified craftsmen and women to service these products. To help meet this demand, the Institute of Swiss Watchmaking was founded in 2008 by Richemont to provide dedicated, career-minded individuals with the education and training to become a part of this exciting profession.
 
Three schools based in Dallas (NAIOSW - North American Institute of Swiss Watchmaking), Hong-Kong (HKIOSW - Hong Kong Institute of Swiss Watchmaking) and Shanghai (CNIOSW – China Institute of Swiss Watchmaning) were opened between 2009 and 2011. These schools prepare students for the internationally recognised WOSTEP  certification, a symbol of "Swiss made" excellence in this field.

Piaget’s partnership with the IOSW is a valuable  complement to its training policy. The goal is to develop and maintain, on a worldwide basis, a combination of
know-how and expertise in the field of high-end watchmaking that will enable the brand to offer its customers high-quality local service.
