The Piaget Rose press launch
On April 5, 2012 jeweller Piaget gave the press an exclusive look at its new Piaget Rose jewellery collection which celebrates thirty years of the Yves Piaget rose.
At the foot of the Arc de Triomphe, sixty pieces were presented in the sumptuous setting of a Parisian mansion, transformed into a temporary garden for the occasion.
In 1982 at Geneva's prestigious International New Rose Competition, the winning rose created by Meilland rose-breeders was christened the "Yves Piaget Rose". Thirty years later, 400 of these roses were dispersed among the featured pieces to celebrate this unique event.
The 87 journalists in attendance marveled at the different interpretations of the Yves Piaget rose created by the company's jewellery craftsmen. A single rose in three artistic styles, blending diamonds with the softness of pink gold or the purity of white gold, all spectacularly highlighted in the photographs of Bar Refaeli.
The collection will be available in Piaget boutiques from May 2012.
